Fractal bowl - Kathryn Hinton
This deceptively simple bowl exudes quiet elegance. Created by mixing traditional hand skills with digital technology, Kathryns work explores emerging surfaces and geometric forms. By using 3D printing and lost wax casting she explores different scales and surface texture. Objects are also realised using computer numerically controlled (CNC) milling with press forming. This bowl would look marvellous as a sculptural form, but equally would be magnificent to use functionally - imagine it filled with sweet treats!
Britannia Silver (958), CAD designed, press formed with brushed finish
Dimensions: 23cm x 23cm x 3.5c Weight: 286g
