Elizabeth’s unique work is instantly recognisable: the sensuous curves and undulations in her work echo the female form. Her work is exceptionally tactile and is a delight to use. Elizabeth’s beakers and vases are a contemporary response to traditional silversmithing methods, but their design has strong classical resonances, they are pieces to treasure for many generations to come.

Her training in UK and Holland was followed by 1:1 training with makers Richard Fox, Ndidi Ekubia and William Lee. She was awarded a prestigious QEST scholarship in 2013 to study with Rod Kelly in his studio in Shetland.

Elizabeth specialises in free form hammer raising and chasing, producing her iconic drapes and folds, which often mimic the playfulness of a curve, crevice or crease.

commissions

Elizabeth welcomes commissions and strives to create pieces which truly represent their owners.

Her work echoes these shapes of the human body and fabric and the silver’s surface is a continuous flow of movement and changing textures, created by meticulous hammering, often with punches she has made herself. The ever changing hammer marks and the undulations of the metal’s surface play with the light as the pieces are moved, creating shadows that enhance their form. They are delightfully different from every angle from which they are seen or held. Contact us to discuss how Elizabeth can help you realise your ideas
